Nicole Peluso, MA, LPC, NCC, CCTP is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. She is also a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

 

She holds a full-time position at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison as a Psychological Counselor for their Counseling and Psychological Services center (CAPS). Empowered Healing, LLC is Nicole’s private practice where she provides individual psychotherapy services to the community. 

 

The name Empowered Healing, came through to her on a special day, the day of her grandfather's birthday whom passed away in 2018. She resonates with the word "empowered" so much as she incorporates empowerment in every session while her clients embark on their healing journey.

Modalities used for sessions according to what the client needs vary from a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based CBT, Mindfulness, breathwork, Cognitive Processing Theory, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy informed skills, Solution Focused, and Client-Centered. Nicole also incorporates spirituality when appropriate and emphasizes the importance of the mind, body, soul connection.

Nicole specializes in anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-compassion, mindfulness, trauma, healing inner child wounds, attachments, relational issues, improving communication skills, boundary setting, empowerment, building strengths, self-worth, self-love, self-care, changing inner self-talk, and usage of coping skills

Nicole received her BA in Psychology and MA in Mental Health Counseling at Caldwell College, now known as Caldwell University. She held a Secretarial position on the Executive Board for the New Jersey College Counseling Association (NJCCA) and is a member of the American College Counseling Association (ACCA) and American Counseling Association (ACA). Nicole has presented at Caldwell University Counseling Conferences and continues to expand her knowledge by attending conferences and workshops.

 

Aside from professional life, Nicole enjoys living a fun-filled, passionate, adventurous life by incorporating nature, traveling, self-care, and a healthy lifestyle. She thoroughly enjoys art, football, Disney and spending time with loved ones.
